Installation
- Mount the gateway on a TU520-ETH terminal unit and verify its 24 V UP/ZP supply wiring.
- Assign each serial port to the correct RS232, RS422 or RS485 interface standard.
- Match baud rate, framing and ASCII message structure to every connected serial device.
- Limit the local S500 I/O expansion to the documented ten-module maximum.
- For AC500 V3 projects, note ABB documentation that CI504-PNIO is supported through CM579-PNIO rather than the onboard PROFINET interface of AC500-eCo V3.
