The ABB NDCU-04 is a drive control unit (DCU) designed for use with ABB modular drive systems (notably the ACS/ACC 

or ACS 600 MultiDrive series) as the brain of the drive system, providing control algorithms, I/O handling, and communications 

functions. Physically, the NDCU‑04 is built as a metal‑enclosed electronic control module housing the control boards 

and optical/fibre links required for communication with the inverter modules and I/O modules. It is typically used in 

medium‑large industrial frequency converter systems where modular architecture supports a common DC bus, multiple 

drive channels, fibre communication, and high‑performance motor control.
