Product Profile

PM5012-R-ETH is the relay-output basic CPU in the AC500-eCo V3 PM5012 range. Active revision 1 article 1SAP122700R0172 combines 1 MB memory, six onboard digital inputs, four relay outputs and one Ethernet interface.

The four normally open relay outputs are arranged in two groups of two channels. One option-board slot is available, and the compact PM5012 design operates without the local I/O bus offered by the PM5032 and PM5052 processors.

System Role

  • Executes compact AC500-eCo control logic with six local 24 V DC input signals.
  • Switches four normally open relay contacts organized as two isolated groups.
  • Provides one Ethernet interface for controller communication and engineering.
  • Accepts one CPU option board for a selected installation-specific extension.
  • Acts as a standalone basic CPU without the PM50x2 local I/O-bus expansion interface.
04 /

Compatibility

  • Use active revision 1 article 1SAP122700R0172 when the current PM5012-R-ETH is required.
  • The earlier R0072 revision is Classic and can be replaced by R0172 after meeting the engineering and firmware requirements.
  • Do not substitute PM5012-T-ETH without evaluating transistor-versus-relay output wiring, load type and switching frequency.
  • Select the correct TA52xx terminal set and preserve the existing relay common connections.
  • Confirm that the application does not require a local I/O bus, which is absent from PM5012-x-ETH.

Applications

  • Small controllers that need four relay contacts and six local digital inputs.
  • Mixed-load switching where normally open relay outputs suit the documented load ratings.
  • Compact Ethernet-connected panels with one CPU option-board requirement.
  • Standalone AC500-eCo V3 control stations without local I/O-bus expansion.
  • Service replacement of PM5012-R-ETH after preserving the program and relay terminal map.

FAQ

How are the four relay outputs grouped?

They are arranged as two groups, each containing two normally open output channels.

What is the documented maximum rated current per relay channel?

The relay data specifies up to 2 A per channel at the applicable rated resistive or general-use load.

Does PM5012-R-ETH have configurable digital channels?

No configurable DI/DO channels are listed for the PM5012 basic CPU.

Can local AC500-eCo I/O modules be connected directly?

No. PM5012-x-ETH does not provide the processor-module I/O bus.

Which revision should be used for current replacement planning?

The active revision is 1SAP122700R0172; R0072 is the earlier Classic article.

What should be checked around the relay outputs?

Check both output groups, common terminals, load voltage, external protection and switching duty before energizing the replacement.
