ABB PM5052-T-ETH AC500-eCo V3 Processor Module
A 24 V DC standard controller with 4 MB memory, integrated Ethernet, twelve digital inputs, eight transistor outputs, two configurable channels and three option-board slots.
Key Information
PM5052-T-ETH is an AC500-eCo V3 standard processor module for compact machine and process control. Current revision 1 article 1SAP124000R0172 combines the CPU, onboard digital I/O and one Ethernet interface in a single controller.
The onboard signal set contains twelve 24 V DC digital inputs, eight 24 V DC transistor outputs rated at 0.5 A per channel and two configurable 24 V DC digital channels. Three option-board slots support selected controller-side extensions.
Functions
- Executes IEC 61131-3 control applications developed for the AC500 engineering environment.
- Connects directly to twelve digital input signals and eight transistor-driven output loads.
- Allows two additional channels to be configured as 24 V DC digital inputs or outputs.
- Provides one Ethernet interface for engineering and supported controller communications.
- Accepts as many as three compatible option boards for installation-specific extensions.
- Supports local AC500-eCo V3 expansion through the processor-module I/O bus.

Installation
- Mount the processor in the documented AC500-eCo V3 control-panel environment and provide the specified 24 V DC supply.
- Select the correct TA52xx terminal-block set because the pluggable terminal accessories are installation-specific.
- Verify polarity, channel commons and load current before connecting the onboard transistor outputs.
- Install only compatible TA51xx option boards and retain the physical slot assignment used by the application.
- Allow suitable panel clearance and keep communication wiring separated from switched load conductors.
- Load and validate the application only after confirming the processor article, firmware and project target.
Lifecycle
- Use article 1SAP124000R0172 when revision 1 hardware is required; the earlier R0072 article belongs to the preceding hardware revision.
- Revision 1 requires Automation Builder 2.6.0 or later and CPU/boot firmware V3.6.x or later.
- Upgrade an older project before fitting revision 1 hardware into an application created with an earlier Automation Builder release.
- Archive the source project, firmware level, Ethernet parameters, option-board list and complete I/O assignment before exchange.
- Commission every digital and configurable channel against the original machine function after replacement.
