TB5640-2ETH expands an AC500 V3 controller station with four communication-module positions. Its wider base is intended for systems that need several network interfaces alongside the processor-integrated Ethernet, CAN and serial ports.

Processor compatibility narrows at this expansion level: the four-slot base supports PM5650-2ETH, PM5670-2ETH and PM5675-2ETH rather than every PM56xx processor.
