The ABB TB825 3BSE036634R1 is a ModuleBus Optical Media Converter in the ABB System 800xA / S800 I/O family that bridges plastic/HCS optical fiber and glass optical fiber links for ModuleBus communications in distributed process automation systems.

The TB825 3BSE036634R1 supports multi‑mode optical conversion and is DIN‑rail mounted in S800L mechanics, enabling distribution of the optical ModuleBus over distances up to approximately 1000 m per cluster in star configurations.

The module operates as a slave on the ModuleBus, accepts a 24 V DC supply, and maintains the communication interface between remote I/O clusters and the control network, supporting reliable signal transport with typical power consumption around 96 mA @ 24 V DC.
