The ABB TU891 3BSC840157R1 is a Module Termination Unit (MTU) used in the ABB S800 I/O system to provide field‑side 

termination and power distribution for connected I/O modules.

The TU891 features eight channels with terminal‑block connections for field signals and process power, accepts a 24 V supply, 

and distributes the ModuleBus to the adjacent I/O module and the next MTU in the rack.

It also includes mechanical keying to ensure correct module insertion and prevent mismatches with incompatible I/O cards, 

making the field wiring interface reliable and straightforward.
