The 1747-PIC is a dedicated interface converter module for the SLC 500 series, designed to bridge 

a standard PC’s RS‑232 serial port to the SLC‑system’s serial network protocol DH-485. This converter 

enables a personal computer running programming or monitoring software to communicate directly with 

a SLC 5/01, 5/02, or 5/03 processor, transforming the PC’s serial RS‑232 signals into the proper DH‑485 

format for the SLC back‑plane system.
