The Allen‑Bradley 1786-RPFM is a ControlNet Fiber Ring Medium Repeater Module manufactured by Rockwell 

Automation as part of the ControlNet communication accessory family. It is designed to extend and strengthen 

medium‑distance ControlNet network links by converting coaxial cable signals to multimode fiber optic media, 

which provides superior electrical isolation and immunity to electrical noise compared with copper media. The 

module supports standard ControlNet topologies including star, linear, ring, and point‑to‑point and operates at the 

ControlNet data rate of 5 Mbps, powered through the ControlNet backplane at 5 V DC with a maximum backplane 

draw of 400 mA.
