Key Information
2711P-T12C4D8 is a complete PanelView Plus 6 1250 operator terminal, not a separate display or logic module. It combines a 12.1-inch color touch display with the DC-powered standard-feature logic configuration.
The terminal provides built-in Ethernet and RS-232 communication, USB host ports and a network interface for a supported optional communication module. Its project environment is based on FactoryTalk View Machine Edition.

Installation
- Prepare the panel opening and mounting surface for the published 1250 dimensions; do not assume a newer 12-inch terminal uses the same cutout.
- Use the specified mounting hardware and an undamaged sealing gasket to maintain the intended front-of-panel protection.
- Connect a suitable 24 V DC supply, protective earth and communication wiring with the power removed.
- Load and validate the Machine Edition project, terminal firmware, communication shortcuts and device addressing before production use.
- Provide panel ventilation for the documented heat dissipation and keep the USB and SD access paths serviceable.

Lifecycle
- Rockwell Automation discontinued 2711P-T12C4D8 on December 30, 2021 and identifies 2711P-T12W22D9P as the engineering-replacement product.
- The replacement uses a different PanelView Plus generation, panel cutout and display resolution; migration therefore requires mechanical and application review.
- Rockwell identifies adapter plate 2711P-RAAT12 for the documented 1250-to-12-inch PanelView Plus 7 migration path.
- Back up the HMI project, communications, recipes and retained application data before removing the original terminal.
