The Power Input Module occupies the special half-height rear position directly behind its associated front 3500/15 power supply. For the legacy Low Voltage AC configuration, the module provides the incoming AC connection to the power-supply pair.

Baker Hughes' current 3500/15 documentation retains the legacy Low Voltage AC architecture for compatibility reference and explicitly states that later Universal AC hardware must not be mixed with the legacy High Voltage AC or Low Voltage AC units.
