Product Profile

21000-16-10-00-076-03-02 is a complete Bently Nevada 21000 proximity probe housing assembly. Its code selects a 3300 XL 8 mm probe, 1.0 m probe cable, no standoff adapter, 7.6-inch penetration, the option 03 fitting package and a 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread.

The standard 21000 housing is an all-metal externally mounted assembly with an aluminum body and 304 stainless-steel sleeve. It supports API 670 installation practice, but it is not the CA21000 explosion-proof housing and must not be represented as one.

System Role

  • Provides external probe adjustment and cable termination at a machine case.
  • Protects the probe and offers a defined conduit-entry fitting package.
  • Maintains the selected insertion geometry for an 8 mm proximity measurement.
  • Supports service access without treating the housing as a process-pressure seal.
04

Compatibility

  • Confirm the machine mounting port is 3/4-14 NPT and that 7.6-inch penetration reaches the intended target.
  • Keep the included reducer, seal grip and grommets aligned with the field cable or conduit design.
  • Use the compatible 3300 XL 8 mm extension cable and Proximitor Sensor for the selected probe lead.
  • Specify CA21000 separately if an explosion-proof housing is required by the area design.
05

Applications

  • External radial probe mounting on turbines, compressors and other large rotating machines.
  • API 670-style installations needing protected probe adjustment and cable transition.
  • Replacement of the same housing assembly after penetration and mounting geometry are verified.

FAQ

Can 21000-16-10-00-076-03-02 be used where an explosion-proof housing is specified?

Not on that basis. The standard 21000 is distinct from CA21000; the hazardous-area protection concept must be reviewed before substitution.

What drawing dimensions are needed before ordering 21000-16-10-00-076-03-02?

Provide the mounting-port location, target distance, machine-case thickness, required probe penetration and space for the housing cap and conduit.

How should the fitting package on 21000-16-10-00-076-03-02 be integrated?

Match the reducer, seal grip and grommets to the actual cable or conduit while preserving enclosure sealing and serviceable cable strain relief.

Does 21000-16-10-00-076-03-02 create a rated process-pressure boundary?

Do not assume so. The machine penetration and any required pressure sealing must be engineered separately from the protective probe housing.

What should be checked after adjusting the probe in 21000-16-10-00-076-03-02?

Confirm locking hardware, housing sealing, gap voltage, cable clearance and channel response, then document the final insertion setting.
