Emerson IC695CPE330-ABAN RX3i Controller

A suffix-specific RX3i high-performance controller with three Gigabit Ethernet ports and CFast storage.

BrandEmerson
ModelIC695CPE330-ABAN
Product TypePACSystems RX3i CPE330 Controller, ABAN Revision
01

Product Profile

IC695CPE330-ABAN is the ABAN hardware execution of the PACSystems RX3i CPE330 backplane controller. The CPE330 platform provides 64 MB user memory, three 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports and extensive industrial protocol support.

The ABAN suffix, controller firmware, CFast content, PAC Machine Edition project, certificates and energy-pack arrangement must travel together. A controller can power and run logic while still failing plant integration if its network and security state is incomplete.

System Role

01

Executes the RX3i control application and coordinates local and remote I/O.

02

Provides three Gigabit Ethernet connections for the configured automation services.

03

Hosts protocol and cybersecurity state that must be preserved with the controller project.

04

Uses CFast and the documented energy-retention arrangement for controlled memory handling.

04

Compatibility

  • Match the complete IC695CPE330-ABAN suffix and approved firmware.
  • Preserve the PAC Machine Edition release, hardware configuration and all remote-I/O modules.
  • Archive Ethernet settings, certificates, users, trust relationships and protocol services.
  • Confirm CFast media, energy pack, rack power supply and backplane compatibility.
05

Applications

  • High-performance machine and process control in PACSystems RX3i racks.
  • Networked automation using multiple industrial Ethernet services.
  • Redundant remote-I/O architectures qualified for the CPE330 platform.

FAQ

Why can IC695CPE330-ABAN restore the project but still lose OPC UA or secure services?

Certificates, users and trust relationships are separate operational assets and must be exported and restored with the approved cybersecurity procedure.

What should be photographed before an IC695CPE330-ABAN replacement?

Capture the full controller label, all three Ethernet port destinations, CFast card, energy-pack wiring, rack inventory and status indications.

When must the energy pack be included with an IC695CPE330-ABAN quotation?

Include it when the installed retention design uses the pack or when age, diagnostics, cable condition or the maintenance scope calls for companion-hardware renewal.

How should three IC695CPE330-ABAN Ethernet ports be validated after exchange?

Test each physical link and assigned service, including controller sessions, HMI or SCADA, remote I/O, redundancy, time synchronization and enabled protocols.

Can a different CPE330 suffix replace IC695CPE330-ABAN automatically?

No automatic assumption is safe; hardware revision, firmware, approvals, CFast image, energy pack and project compatibility require a documented comparison.
