Epro PR6423/003-030 CON021 Eddy Current Sensor is a non-contact sensor system designed for critical turbomachinery applications, including steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, compressors, gearboxes, pumps, and fans. It is used to measure radial and axial shaft dynamic displacement, shaft position, eccentricity, and rotational speed.

The Epro PR6423/003-030 CON021 Eddy Current Sensor consists of a PR6423 eddy current transducer and a CON021 signal converter, which together form an oscillator circuit. The amplitude of oscillation is damped by the proximity of a metallic object positioned in front of the transducer. This damping characteristic is directly proportional to the distance between the transducer face and the target object being measured.

Each Epro PR6423/003-030 CON021 Eddy Current Sensor system is factory calibrated and delivered fully adjusted, eliminating the need for on-site calibration. During installation, only the gap between the transducer and the target object needs to be adjusted to achieve the specified output signal from the CON021 converter.
