Product Overview

Honeywell CC-PFB801 is the conformal-coated Series C Fieldbus Interface Module used for eight-segment FOUNDATION Fieldbus integration. It provides the system-side interface through which fieldbus devices, diagnostics and control data are presented within an Experion PKS architecture.

The module belongs to a defined Series C hardware and software lifecycle. Ordering and replacement should therefore be based on the exact catalog number, installed Experion release and the matching carrier/IOTA arrangement.

Applications

Lifecycle

Honeywell announced CC-PFB802 as the successor to CC-PFB801. Honeywell lifecycle guidance states that the older CC-PFB801 part is intended for systems operating with Experion server revision R400 or earlier.

Before ordering, confirm the server release and the exact installed fieldbus hardware. A migration decision may require the newer module and the corresponding supported system configuration.

FAQ

Is CC-PFB801 the four-link FIM?
No. CC-PFB801 is the FIM8; the model number and link count must not be confused with the FIM4 family.

Can it be replaced only by matching the front appearance?
No. Check the catalog number, carrier/IOTA, redundancy design and installed Experion release.

Why is the lifecycle note important?
Because Honeywell introduced a successor module and ties use of the legacy part to specific Experion revisions.
