A software-configurable remote safe I/O module providing 32 universal channels for digital and analog safety signals.

Functions
Channels support DI with or without loop monitoring, DO with loop monitoring, and active 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA AI/AO. Channel 32 can be configured as an ESD input, and sequence-of-events time stamping has 1 ms resolution.
The module supports up to 32 DI, one ESD input, 32 AI, 32 DO or 16 AO channels, subject to permitted combined configuration and load limits.

Installation
Install only within the documented Safety Manager remote I/O architecture. Confirm power, Ethernet, field capacitance and total load before energizing. Maximum field capacitance is 100 nF for AI, DI and AO, and 1 µF for DO.
A redundant arrangement uses two RUSIO modules. Safety validation and proof testing must follow the approved safety requirement specification.
Lifecycle
Replacement planning must preserve the certified configuration, firmware compatibility, redundancy concept and project safety documentation. Check current Honeywell lifecycle notices before changing an installed safety function.
