The ProSoft MVI46-GSC Enhanced Generic ASCII Serial Communication Module is an industrial communication 

interface designed to integrate Rockwell Automation ControlLogix® controllers with a wide range of serial ASCII 

devices via non‑specific text or byte‑based protocols. As a single‑slot, backplane‑compatible module, it adds two 

fully configurable ASCII serial ports to the ControlLogix rack, eliminating the need to use the PLC’s built‑in ports 

or to burden the controller CPU with complex serial handling tasks.
