The ProSoft MVI56-AFC is an in‑rack gas and liquid flow computer module designed for the Rockwell Automation 

ControlLogix® platform, enabling precise industrial flow measurement directly within a ControlLogix automation 

system. Unlike external or standalone flow computers, the MVI56‑AFC integrates flow calculation functions into 

the PLC backplane as an I/O module, providing custody‑transfer‑grade measurements of hydrocarbon liquids and 

gases while offloading complex flow algorithms from the main controller. This integration reduces overall system 

cost, leverages distributed I/O and communications infrastructure, and allows real‑time flow data to be used directly 

in control logic and SCADA applications.
