The PS69-DPS module expands the functionality of Rockwell Automation’s CompactLogix or MicroLogix to include 

PROFIBUS DP V0/V1. The PS69-DPS is a more cost-effective option offering more features than the PS69-PDPS, 

and supports both I/O control and messaging. Explicit ladder logic CIP message blocks provide slave status diagnostic 

data and acyclic messaging.  

The PS69-DPS interface appears to the CompactLogix or MicroLogix controller as a standard I/O module allowing 

it to be configured via RSLogix5000, or configuration can be transferred from the Master to the PS69-DPS.
