The Siemens 6GK1571-1AA00 is a USB‑to‑PROFIBUS/MPI communications processor designed to connect a programming device or PC/laptop directly to a PROFIBUS or MPI network — enabling programming, commissioning, diagnostics, and maintenance of Siemens PLC systems. Using a USB 2.0 interface, CP 5711 acts as a bridge: it offers a Sub‑D 9‑pin (RS‑485) port for PROFIBUS/MPI and optionally can be powered externally when rail- or cabinet-mounted.
