The TRICONEX 2551 is an input/terminal/interface module for the Triconex series of safety/control systems. It functions as an analog/digital/terminal interface module, connecting field signals (such as analog, voltage, current, digital signals, and terminal cable ends) to Triconex safety control systems/instrumentation systems. Depending on the sub-model (for example, 2551-7300057-100), it may have analog input functionality; some 2551 models are also labeled "DI external terminator."
