The Yokogawa EC401-50 ESB Bus Coupler Module is a communication interface designed to connect the Field
Control Unit (FCU) to Node Units via the ESB bus in Yokogawa's CENTUM VP Distributed Control Systems. It
supports a single connection line with a maximum transmission distance of 10 meters and can connect up to 9 units,
including models like ANB10S, ANB10D, ANT401, ANT411, and ANT421.
This module operates at a transmission speed of 128 Mbps for I/O module data and requires a current consumption
of 0.5 A. It is installed in the 7th slot of the FCU, with slot 8 remaining empty in a non-redundant configuration. For
dual-redundant configurations, two EC401 modules are installed in both the 7th and 8th slots. The EC401-50 model
is suitable for applications where a single ESB bus connection is adequate, providing a reliable and efficient
communication link between the FCU and Node Units.
