Optical conversion extends the ESB bus while providing electrical separation across the fiber link.
Overview
ANT502-5E is the Yokogawa Optical ESB Bus Repeater Slave Module for a transmission range up to 5 km. It works with an ANT401 master module to extend the ESB bus over optical fiber.
The module is installed as standard in an ANB11 optical ESB bus node unit and can also be installed in an ANT10U optical repeater unit. Connector-unit option codes define ESB connection and HKU interface functions.
For dual-redundant service, modules are installed in paired consecutive slots. ESB bus 1 occupies the odd-numbered slot and ESB bus 2 the even-numbered slot.

About IndustryParts
https://www.industryparts.com/Optical range and slot pairing remain visible
IndustryParts prepares ANT502-5E quotations with the matching master, fiber route, connector option and redundancy record.
- Five-kilometre range retained
- Master module recorded
- Odd/even slots checked
Lifecycle
- Record both optical modules, fiber route, connector-unit option and slot pairing before exchange.
- Protect optical ports from dust and never exceed the approved fiber bend radius.
- Keep dual-redundant odd/even slot assignments intact.
- Verify optical link indication, ESB communication and redundant takeover after service.
FAQ
Can ANT502-5E operate without an ANT401 master?
It is the slave side of the documented five-kilometre optical ESB link and is paired with the appropriate ANT401 master architecture.
What information is needed to quote ANT502-5E?
Provide ANB11 or ANT10U identity, slot, connector-unit option, master-module label, fiber type and length, redundancy arrangement and required quantity.
Can ANT502-5E replace an ANT512 or another range version?
Do not substitute by appearance. Optical range, partner module, environmental code, connector unit and project compatibility must all be reviewed.
How should the optical ports be handled during replacement?
Use clean protective caps, approved fiber-cleaning methods and ESD controls; do not touch or contaminate optical end faces.
What confirms an ANT502-5E link is ready?
Verify exact master/slave identity, clean optical connections, correct slot pairing, normal ESB diagnostics, communication stability and redundant transfer where used.
