Key Information
TB5600-2ETH is the most compact standard terminal base in the ABB AC500 V3 TB56xx range. It supports one processor module without adding a communication-module position, making it suitable where the processor interfaces cover the required network architecture.
The base concentrates controller power and field connections in a replaceable mounting assembly while the plug-in processor carries the automation program and processing resources.

Installation
- Use only with a PM56xx-2ETH processor and verify the processor order code before assembly.
- Mount on a 35 mm DIN rail with 7.5 mm or 15 mm depth, or use 4 mm screws tightened to 1.2 N·m.
- Install and remove the processor or field wiring only under the safe isolation procedure defined for the control cabinet.
- Keep the RJ45, CAN, COM1, supply and I/O-bus connections accessible for commissioning and service.
- Select horizontal or vertical mounting while maintaining the clearances and environmental limits required for the complete AC500 station.

Lifecycle
- The standard TB5600-2ETH order code is listed by ABB in the Active lifecycle phase.
- TB5600-2ETH and the wide-temperature TB5600-2ETHC-XC are separate products; their order codes must not be interchanged.
- For service planning, retain the processor type, terminal-base order code, connection map and local I/O arrangement.
- A replacement terminal base should be checked against the installed PM56xx-2ETH processor and cabinet mounting footprint before changeover.
