The ABB TU840 3BSE020846R1 is a Module Termination Unit (MTU) in the ABB S800 I/O family that serves as the field‑side 

interface between redundant Optical ModuleBus modems (TB840/TB840A) and the associated redundant I/O modules. The 

TU840 is a passive termination unit with connections for power supply, dual electrical ModuleBus lines, and two TB840/TB840A 

modems with a rotary cluster address switch (1–7).
