Bently Nevada TK3E Electric Proximity System Test Kit

An electric-driven TK3 test-kit designation for controlled proximity-system position and vibration checks.

BrandBently Nevada
ModelTK3E
Product TypeElectric TK3 Proximity System Test Kit
01

Product Overview

TK3E is the commonly used designation for the electric-driven Bently Nevada TK-3e proximity-system test kit. It simulates shaft position with a spindle micrometer and shaft vibration with a motor-driven wobble plate.

Current electric kits use the configurable 177313-AA-BB-CC format. Scale units, power cord and approval must be selected, so TK3E alone is not a complete current order number.

02

Performance

  • Checks transducer scale factor and position indication through controlled micrometer movement.
  • Generates a known mechanical vibration input for comparing monitor indication with proximity-probe output.
  • Accepts 5 to 19 mm probe diameters in the universal probe mounts.
  • Allows the vibration amplitude to be set from the probe’s absolute scale factor and a suitable multimeter without requiring an oscilloscope.

System Integration

  • Select the scale units and regional cord before ordering the configured electric kit.
  • Use the matched probe, extension cable and Proximitor sensor with correct power and documented scale factor.
  • Secure the probe and all mount screws, use eye protection and keep clear of the rotating wobble plate.
  • Record static gap results and dynamic monitor comparison with transducer, target and test-condition details.

Applications

  • Proximity transducer-system verification
  • Position-monitor calibration checks
  • Vibration-monitor indication checks
  • Maintenance-shop and field-service test work

FAQ

What must be added to TK3E to form a current order number?

Select English or metric scale units, the required regional power cord and the listed approval field in the 177313 configuration.

Can TK3E test both static position and dynamic vibration response?

Yes. The micrometer assembly supports static checks, while the driven wobble plate supports monitor vibration checks.

Which probe sizes can be mounted on TK3E?

Use the universal mounting arrangement for the supported probe-diameter range and confirm secure clamping before testing.

Does TK3E require an oscilloscope for the normal vibration check?

The documented method uses the probe scale factor and peak-to-peak output measured by a suitable multimeter to establish mechanical amplitude.

What must be supplied when replacing a legacy TK3E?

Provide the old nameplate, supply voltage, scale units, cord, case and accessory inventory plus the probes and systems to be tested.

What safety inspection is required before operating TK3E?

Check mounting screws, guards, wobble plate, swing arm, power cable and work area, then keep personnel and loose objects clear of rotating parts.
