Schneider Electric Triconex 4703X Fiber I/O Bus Interface Module
The IMFF module that extends the Tricon CX I/O bus through approved SFP links.
Product Profile
4703X is the Tricon CX I/O Bus Interface Module Fiber-Fiber, used in the 8131X I/O Expansion Chassis. It receives the fiber IOP bus and provides fiber plus RS-485 serial outputs.
Supported Gigabit fiber protocols use compatible SFPs. Both link ends, fiber type, optical budget, distance and chassis route must be engineered together.

FAQ
Which optical details are required before quoting 4703X?
Provide SFPs at both ends, wavelength, fiber, connectors, distance and patch losses.
Can any Gigabit SFP be installed in 4703X?
No. Use a reviewed SFP combination and verify both link ends.
What chassis information should accompany 4703X?
Send 8131X identity, slot, topology, release and diagnostics.
How should the fiber path be accepted after replacing 4703X?
Check optical power, PASS/FAULT, communications, redundancy and safety loops.
Why document unused 4703X ports?
The approved configuration may require unused outputs to be disabled.
