03
Functions
- Forms the regulated and regenerative line-side infeed for an S120 booksize drive group.
- Provides a 16 kW rated DC-link supply with 27 A at 600 V DC.
- Uses an external-air heat-sink path to move power-section losses outside the cabinet interior.
- Communicates with the drive system through DRIVE-CLiQ.
- Works with the associated Active Interface and line-side components defined for the 16 kW class.
04
Applications
- Replacement in legacy S120 booksize systems that use the exact 6AA0 external-cooling variant.
- Regenerative machine axes where the installed line and DC-link design is based on a 16 kW Active Line Module.
- Cabinets with an existing external heat-sink opening and 100 mm module position.
- Maintenance projects that preserve the Control Voltage Adapter and original busbar topology.
- Retrofit assessments where the legacy order suffix must be compared with current hardware.
05
Lifecycle
- Treat 6AA0 as a legacy hardware identifier and verify the installed nameplate before procurement.
- Do not copy compatibility or lifecycle conclusions from the later 6AA3 suffix.
- Retain the external-cooling aperture, Active Interface Module and line-side components in the replacement study.
- A same-power Smart Line Module does not reproduce the Active Line topology.
- Recommission DC-link regulation and regenerative operation after any hardware change.
