ModelPR9268/200-000
Product TypePR9268 Vertical Electrodynamic Velocity Sensor
01

Product Identification

PR9268/200-000 is a self-powered Emerson electrodynamic sensor for absolute vibration measurement on turbine, compressor, pump and fan casings. The /20 design is installed vertically within its specified inclination envelope.

Its ordering digits select a 3 m armored cable and Harting plug. The sensing element provides 28.5 mV/mm/s sensitivity across a 4 to 1000 Hz frequency range.

Functions

  • Converts absolute casing vibration velocity directly into an electrical signal.
  • Covers low-frequency machinery behavior from 4 Hz.
  • Uses a protected three-meter lead and factory Harting termination.
  • Supports machinery-protection and condition-monitoring inputs designed for the PR9268 signal.
04

Applications

  • Industrial drive and machinery-protection maintenance
  • Configuration-controlled spare replacement
  • Planned outage and reliability support
05

Lifecycle

  • Retain the complete model, hardware revision, host equipment and removal photographs in the asset record.
  • Keep the spare clean, dry and protected from electrostatic discharge, connector damage and cable deformation.
  • Review current manufacturer lifecycle information and an approved migration path before a critical shutdown.

FAQ

PR9268/200-000: What should be compared before replacing an older PR9268 sensor?

Compare orientation, sensitivity, cable length, armor, connector, approval, pinout and monitor load—not only the PR9268 family marking.

PR9268/200-000: How can connector mismatch be avoided?

Photograph the installed Harting plug and receptacle, record pin numbers and keying, and include the monitor-side wiring drawing with the enquiry.

PR9268/200-000: What mechanical checks matter during installation?

Confirm a flat mounting surface, correct orientation, secure cable support and no preload or impact on the spring-mass sensor body.

PR9268/200-000: What baseline should be retained before shutdown?

Save overall velocity, spectrum, phase or polarity where used, alarm setpoints and the channel diagnostic state.

PR9268/200-000: How should a spare be stored?

Protect the connector and cable, avoid shock and strong magnetic fields, keep it dry, and retain its label and certificate with the package.

PR9268/200-000: What indicates a successful channel return to service?

The signal should have correct polarity and scaling, a stable noise floor, no diagnostic fault and a baseline consistent with machine condition.
