Bently Nevada 3500/15 106M1079-01 Universal AC Power Supply Module
A half-height 3500 rack power module accepting a wide AC input range and supporting redundant supply installation.
Key Information
106M1079-01 is the Universal AC Power Supply Module for the Bently Nevada 3500 monitoring system. It occupies one half-height slot on the left side of the rack and converts the connected AC source into the voltages used by the installed 3500 modules.
A rack can operate with one supply or two supplies. When two are installed, the lower module functions as the backup for the upper module, allowing either supply to be removed or inserted without interrupting rack operation.
Functions
- Provides rack power from nominal 110 to 220 Vac sources across the documented universal input range.
- Supports primary-and-backup operation when a second 3500/15 supply is fitted in the other half-height position.
- Includes a front-panel OK LED for immediate supply status indication.
- Operates without a minimum rack load, supporting racks with different monitoring-module populations.
- Allows live removal or insertion of one supply when the second installed supply remains available.

Installation
- Pair the module with the Universal AC Power Input Module 106M1081-01 and verify field wiring against the rack documentation.
- Do not mix the universal AC supply and input module with legacy high- or low-voltage AC supply/input-module combinations.
- Install the primary supply in the upper half-height position and the backup supply in the lower position when redundancy is required.
- Confirm source voltage, frequency, grounding and hazardous-area limits before energizing the rack.
- Maintain the documented rack clearances and operating-temperature envelope.
Lifecycle
- Keep 106M1079-01 and its matching 106M1081-01 input module together in spare-parts and maintenance records.
- Verify the complete power-supply generation before replacing a legacy 3500/15 assembly.
- When two supplies are fitted, periodically confirm both OK indicators so a failed backup is not left undetected.
- Record rack source type and hazardous-area status to prevent an incompatible supply/PIM combination during service.
