PRODUCT CONTEXT

Overview

IC200EBI001 connects a VersaMax remote I/O station to Ethernet and controls the attached local and expansion I/O modules. It can operate as a Modbus TCP server or as an Ethernet Global Data station.

Protocol mode is exclusive: the ENIU runs Modbus or EGD, not both at the same time. Later releases support as many as 64 I/O modules across the main station and seven expansion racks, subject to the installed hardware and release.

FUNCTIONAL PROFILE

Features

A

Remote-station control

Acts as the Ethernet head and controller for the attached VersaMax I/O set.

B

Two protocol choices

Supports a Modbus TCP server role or EGD exchange mode as configured.

C

Expandable station

Later releases extend the node beyond the main rack to seven expansion racks.

D

Visible network state

Power, health, fault, LAN and protocol-status LEDs support first-line diagnostics.

CUSTOMER QUESTIONS

FAQ

Q01

Can IC200EBI001 run Modbus TCP and EGD at the same time?

No. The ENIU is configured for one of those operating modes at a time.

Q02

Which data should accompany a IC200EBI001 enquiry?

Provide the complete label, firmware, IP parameters, protocol mode, exchange map, rack layout and power-supply identity.

Q03

How many I/O modules can IC200EBI001 manage?

Release 1.1 and later documentation supports up to 64 modules and seven expansion racks; confirm the actual hardware release.

Q04

What commonly causes a replacement IC200EBI001 to remain offline?

Check power, the RJ-45 link, duplicate or incorrect IP settings, protocol selection, controller configuration and station-module order.

Q05

How is IC200EBI001 accepted after a swap?

Verify all status LEDs, Ethernet communication, the expected I/O inventory, fault reporting and every mapped input and output.
