Triconex 3625A TMR Digital Output Module

A 32-point, 24 VDC supervised or non-supervised TMR output module for Tricon safety and critical-control systems.

BrandSchneider Electric / Triconex
Model3625A
Product Type32-Point TMR Digital Output Module
01

Product Overview

3625A is a 32-point triple-modular-redundant digital output module for Tricon systems. Each point can be configured for supervised operation, supporting line-fault detection in energize-to-trip and de-energize-to-trip applications.

The 3625A separates field power into groups of 16 points while maintaining a common return. It is compatible with the applications of the earlier 3625 module, subject to Tricon v10.2-or-later system and termination-panel requirements.

02

Performance

  • Thirty-two commoned outputs operate from a nominal 24 VDC field supply.
  • Maximum output current is 1.70 A ±10% per point, with 5 A surge for 7 ms.
  • Output switches are self-protected against overvoltage, overtemperature and overcurrent.
  • Per-point supervision and programmable short/open-circuit thresholds support field-loop diagnostics.
  • PASS, FAULT, LOAD and ACTIVE module indicators combine with one state indicator and one load alarm per point.

System Integration

  • Export the TriStation project, I/O configuration, force/bypass status, diagnostics and proof-test record.
  • Record the 3625A slot, field termination panels, cables, redundant field supplies and all 32 load assignments.
  • Keep independent field-source voltages within the documented tolerance when the four-source arrangement is used.
  • Configure supervision and fault thresholds to match each load before enabling the point.
  • Complete output forcing controls, loop tests, voting diagnostics and safety validation before closing the work.
05

Applications

  • Emergency shutdown final-element control.
  • Fire-and-gas alarm and mitigation outputs.
  • Burner management and turbomachinery trip circuits.
  • Safety loops that require TMR control and supervised 24 VDC field outputs.

FAQ

What field-power detail makes a 3625A quotation complete?

Provide the termination-panel references, number of independent sources, source voltages, common-return arrangement, total current per panel and all load types.

Can 3625A replace an earlier 3625 module?

The 3625A is application-compatible, but the Tricon system must meet the v10.2-or-later requirement and the field-power grouping, panels, cables and project must be reviewed.

How should 3625A supervision be commissioned?

Set thresholds for the actual load, then prove healthy, open-circuit and short-circuit states while confirming the intended alarm and safety response.

Why must four field supplies feeding 3625A be closely matched?

The documented arrangement requires source voltages within 5% of the highest supply; larger differences can cause voter faults and alarms even if outputs continue operating.

What records should close a 3625A replacement?

Retain module and panel identities, project checksum, supervision settings, field-current results, diagnostic status, bypass/force history and proof-test approval.
