16 ISOLATED INPUTS · RTD / POTENTIOMETER ACQUISITION
YOKOGAWA AAR145-S50 TC/RTD Input Module
A sixteen-point, channel-isolated resistance-input module for documented RTD and potentiometer measurement paths.
Overview
AAR145-S50 is Yokogawa’s sixteen-point RTD and potentiometer input module in the general-purpose S50 execution. Yokogawa’s module guide identifies the family for individually isolated resistance inputs.
For RTD service, the A, B and B conductors must follow the published terminal assignment, and the wiring resistance in the two B paths must be equal. Potentiometer service uses the documented 100%, 0% and variable-terminal relationship.
Specifications
Features
Channel isolation
Each published input point is individually isolated for controlled multi-sensor acquisition.
Dual resistance-sensor role
The same module family supports documented RTD or potentiometer circuits.
Three-wire RTD mapping
The paired B conductors are treated as matched resistance paths rather than interchangeable spare wires.
Exact S50 identity
The complete execution remains on quotation, receiving and installed-asset records.
Applications
Temperature acquisition
Reading supported RTD circuits in a Yokogawa control installation.
Position or resistance measurement
Accepting documented potentiometer signals within the published resistance range.
Revision-controlled module service
Restoring an S50 module while retaining channel, terminal and sensor evidence.
Lifecycle
Survey
Record sensor type, channel, terminal mapping, lead arrangement and the complete S50 label.
Wire
Verify A/B/B or 100%/0%/variable conductors and keep paired lead resistance consistent.
Prove
Apply known resistance points and confirm indication, engineering range, alarms and channel isolation.
FAQ
Q01
Which records should accompany an AAR145-S50 request?
+
Send the full S50 label, host rack, slot, sensor list, channel schedule, terminal photographs and required quantity.
Q02
Can AAR145-S50 be wired like a thermocouple input module?
+
No. The published function is RTD and potentiometer acquisition, with resistance-specific terminal arrangements.
Q03
Why must the two RTD B leads be reviewed for AAR145-S50?
+
Yokogawa states that the wiring resistance for IN A and IN B paths must be identical for the documented RTD connection.
Q04
What should be captured before moving an AAR145-S50 potentiometer channel?
+
Record the 100%, 0% and variable conductors, configured range, mechanical position reference and terminal numbers.
Q05
What closes AAR145-S50 commissioning?
+
Retain traceable resistance checks, stable channel values, correct engineering scaling and completed alarm or interlock tests.
